Young Republicans on Campus Group Has Their Poster Vandalized with Anti-Trump Slogans

On Tuesday night, the Young Republicans on Campus chapter at the University of Texas: Rio Grande Valley found their flyers torn down and decorated with graffiti. The flyers did not contain incendiary content. Words such as “Republicanism = racism” and “Trump = Fascism” appeared drawn over their flyers, as shown below.Young Republicans on Campus Texas University posters vandalized

This isn’t the first time that a young Republican group faced harassment. According to one of their members, Jaime Garcia, the harassment escalated after Trump won the presidential election. Garcia said, “we spoke to the Office of Student Involvement to let them know of what is going on,” and they plan to file a police report since graffiti appeared on both their flyers and the college’s property. More details will come.

A response from the Young Republicans on Campus on their Facebook page stated the group would continue to respect the property and rights of their fellow organizations on campus, asking others to do the same.
